Most immunoassays are made of plastic. We have created the first environmentally friendly screening test, made almost entirely of paper. GreenCheck thus solves one of the greatest challenges faced by immunoassay providers: how to move towards more sustainable solutions without decreasing accuracy and without increasing costs.

GreenCheck does not only have the same sensitivity and efficiency as conventional tests, it also requires fewer plastic consumables such as pipettes, plastic containers, etc., which means that GreenCheck can be used in a wide range of applications.

GreenCheck reduces the use of non-recyclable raw materials by up to 90%. This innovative product is the first ecological alternative to traditional drug testing.

European plastics policy

Europe produces 25 million tons of plastic waste per year, most of which ends up in the sea. In January 2018, the European Commission adopted the first European Strategy for Plastics as part of the transition to a more circular economy. The strategy will change the way plastic products are designed, manufactured, used and recycled in the EU and aims to make all packaging reusable or recyclable by 2030. The cost of producing plastics will increase as a result of higher taxes for the use of disposable plastics.

In addition, the European Strategy for Plastics will contribute to reducing marine waste by at least 30% by 2020.

According to estimates, only 5% of the value of plastic packaging material remains in the economy, the rest is lost after initial use. That is why the European Commission recently introduced penalties on disposable plastic products.

GreenCheck is the environmentally friendly alternative to plastic tests. GreenCheck successfully replaces both visual and opto-electronic device tests - P.I.A.1, P.I.A.2 and P.I.A.3.

Oral fluid test

The packaging is made of recyclable materials, so that the test and packaging meet modern environmental and sustainability criteria. Only the standardized volume pipette and the specific test pads are always made of plastic.

Urine Immersion Test

DBS / DSS / DUS (Dried Blood Spots / Dried Saliva Spots / Dried Urine Spots - dry blood sample / dry saliva / dry urine)

The DBS/DSS/DUS test is made from a blood/dry urine sample applied on a special filter paper to perform different test procedures. These tests are used to check the correctness of a result after a positive test and to archive the results. Whole blood (DBS), oral fluid (DSS) or even urine (DUS) samples can be applied to defined the areas on a special filter paper and sent for confirmation, without any risks caused by handling blood samples, alteration of the samples during transport, or temperature influences, etc.

Similarly, an expensive transport and collection system (blood collection) is no longer necessary, resulting in savings through improved and secure confirmation analysis. Durable and recyclable materials are used in the manufacturing of these tests, providing benefits for the user, the validation analyst and society as a whole :
